About me

For nearly three decades, my work has centred on understanding how people function, especially when things get hard. I’ve explored this from very different angles, through People and Culture, injury rehabilitation and coaching, paying attention to what helps people perform at their best, what gets in the way and what becomes possible when the pressure eases.

I’ve led People and Culture for a national conservation organisation, including through a period of significant organisational change. I’ve also spent years working with the physical side of performance, supporting injured athletes through their recovery.

That’s where I first noticed the pattern that has shaped everything since. I saw that an athlete’s state of mind affected more than how they experienced the injury. It could profoundly affect their recovery and how the injury itself healed.

Alongside my corporate work, I’ve spent around six years coaching clients privately through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

A difficult period in my own life forced me to look beyond the conventional techniques I’d learned throughout my career. I experienced lasting change through a very different understanding of the human experience. That is what I now bring to every leader, team and individual I work with.

I don’t see these as separate strands of my career. I’ve spent years paying attention to what actually helps people and organisations thrive from several different angles, and I’m now bringing all of that into one place.
